Neil Abramson directs this indie drama following a young American soldier as he confronts life’s complexities during his Thanksgiving leave. Having completed his basic training as a private in the United States Marine Corps 19-year-old Mike Holland (Nick Cannon) returns home to California to catch up with his family and friends before being shipped out to Iraq. Over a four-day period he begins a relationship with a young woman he meets on the bus Cristina (Melonie Diaz) sees his estranged father (Chi McBride) for the first time in years and has a chance encounter with a disabled soldier recently back from Iraq (Jay Hernandez). Meanwhile he struggles to reconnect with his best friend Jake (Matt O’Leary) mother Donna (April Grace) and new stepfather Dale (Tom Sizemore).
