A Eurasian female doctor (Jennifer Jones) and an American journalist (William Holden) fall in love, but their love does not run a smooth course as he is already married, and her family and friends do not approve. This celebrated film won an Academy Award for Alfred Newman’s title theme and was nominated for Best Picture.
