Roxann Dawson directs this drama based on the true story of teenage boy John Smith (Marcel Ruiz) who fell through a frozen lake and drowned in the icy waters. After being rescued and without a pulse for 45 minutes, John’s medical team begin to give up reviving him. However, when John’s mother, Joyce (Chrissy Metz) enters the trauma room, she begins to desperately pray out loud and soon after John’s pulse returns.
