Gory supernatural horror from director David Benullo in which a woman finds herself stranded in a town with an evil history. After arriving in the small town of Hope when her car breaks down, Liz Chambers (Jaimie Alexander) discovers that she is at the centre of a prophecy foretold by the town’s founder, 19th century hellfire preacher Jonas Hathaway (Nick Chinlund). With the town founded on a regular diet of ritual sacrifice in order to ward off evil spirits, the modern day descendants see Liz’s arrival as their chance to reinvigorate their community with her blood, and she soon finds herself pursued by not only the villagers, but a demonically possessed scarecrow.
