Ben Elton writes and directs this romantic comedy adaptation of his own novel. Sam Bell (Hugh Laurie) and wife Lucy (Joely Richardson) seem to have it all – good looks, nice jobs, the perfect marriage – but despite their best efforts they haven’t yet managed to produce the one thing they want above all else: a baby.
