Back in 1841, baby whale Moby Dick was being taught by his mother how to leap out of the water. But his first attempt left him all alone in the world and he then spends his life roaming the seas. An orphan called Ishmael, who craves company, joins the crew of the ship Pequod, whose captain, Ahab, has an ambition to harpoon Moby Dick in revenge for an accident with the whale. When Ishmael falls overboard he comes face to face with Moby and finds out the truth about Ahab.
