Description
1930s American horror. In 1920s London, a great fire destroys a wax museum after an argument between sculptor Ivan Igor (Lionel Atwill) and his financial partner. 12 years later in New York City, the day before the opening of Igor’s new wax museum, a girl’s body disappears from the morgue and a statue with an uncanny likeness turns up in the museum. Reporter Florence Dempsey (Glenda Farrell) meets the now crippled Ivan, who develops an unhealthy infatuation with her roommate, Charlotte Duncan (Fay Wray), who resembles a sculpture of Marie Antoinette lost in the London fire.
