Prom Praise is an annual concert held at the Royal Albert Hall, and over the years its reputation has grown to make it a not-to-be-missed event. Part church service, part concert, Prom Praise blends traditional hymns and worship music with an orchestral backing alongside selections of secular music. Singers and choirs perform, as well as solo musicians who all combine to create an atmosphere of celebration at each Prom Praise concert. This year the crowd enjoyed the magnificent All Souls orchestra with the Prom Praise massed choir, as well as special guest appearances by X Factor finalist Beverley Trotman, Soprano Joanne Lunn, classical pianist Grace Yeo and trumpet virtuoso Giles Fowler.The results are stunning, whether on the full length CD or DVD recorded on the night. The repertoire spans a broad range of the very best on offer, from contemporary classics Let Everything That Has Breath and Happy Day to In Christ Alone and Awesome God, to timeless treasure like Glorious Things of You are Spoken and How Great Thou Art.
