The second season of the dinosaur adventure series starring Douglas Henshall as evolutionary zoologist Nick Cutter, who discovers prehistoric creatures alive and well in the present day. As series one reached its conclusion Professor Nick Cutter was having a pretty bad day – he still is. His estranged wife Helen (Juliet Aubrey) has deceived him; tricking him into going through the anomalies one last time. But something has gone dreadfully wrong. Upon his return to the present day, the world as he knows it has changed and he and Helen are the only people who know about it. In this new reality, Claudia Brown (Lucy Brown) has never existed and the others have no idea who she was. Can Nick convince his team that their actions have inadvertently altered the course of nature? While all this is going on, Nick and his team have to deal with some beastly opponents that have found their way through the anomalies. From a family of raptors running wild in the aisles of a local shopping centre, a sabre-tooth at an amusement park, to a woolly mammoth holding up the traffic on the M25, the deadly creatures just keep on coming…
