Description
Burt Lancaster stars in John Sturges’ comedy/western that tells the story of a heavily-guarded wagonload of whiskey bound for a thirsty Denver. The city was almost destroyed by a drought of the drink and Sturges’ film takes a comic look at the decision to import 40 wagonloads of whiskey through the territory. Lee Remick plays a temperance leader out to prevent the shipment reaching its destination, while the Indians are also interested in the controversial cargo.
